Gims, whose real name is Gandhi Alimasi Djuna, is a Congolese-French singer, rapper, producer, and songwriter who was born in the Congo on May 6, 1986. He is a former member of the hip hop group Sexion d’Assaut and the groups 3e Prototype. He is also the founder of Monstre Marin Corporation, a subsidiary of French Universal Music. His solo release, Subliminal, is considered a major solo release.
